I got a new camera a couple days ago!! CANON EOS D40. I prefer Nikon, but i couldn't pass it up. I desperately needed a new camera. My Nikons burned up when my mountain cabin burned to the ground a couple of years ago.
I was in town when i got a call that the cabin was on fire. I rushed home to find it burned to the ground. The only thing left was the stove that caused the fire. I remember when i got there, the first fire crew was already there, smoke was raising up from the smoldering ashes, trees were still burning. It was so surreal.
